Enrichment program isn't an optional extra in PEP — it's required, for both students and parents. These sessions teach life skills no school curriculum covers and no parent living in poverty was ever taught themselves: emotional health, self management, vocational awareness, spiritual nurture, and practical guidance for navigating a world their own upbringing didn't prepare them for.

This is the piece that takes poverty out of the child, not just the child out of poverty. When we conduct careers workshops, it's deeply compelling to hear a grade 8 student exclaim, "I didn't know I could be a _________." We hear this every time.
